A cron expression has five fields: minute · hour · day-of-month · month · day-of-week. This builder lets you compose complex expressions without memorising syntax. The "Every N minutes" mode supports an optional hour range (generating a range like 9-17 in the hour field) and an optional day-of-week restriction — so schedules like */30 9-16 * * 1-5 (every 30 min during business hours on weekdays) are configurable without touching the Custom tab. Next-run times use the browser's Intl.DateTimeFormat API to show times in your chosen timezone — no server required.
No — the expression fires when the daemon considers the time "current". Set the timezone on the scheduler itself (AWS EventBridge, Kubernetes CronJob v1.27+, GitHub Actions all accept a timezone field alongside the expression).
Use the "Every N minutes" mode, set N=30, enable "Restrict to specific hours" (9 AM to 4 PM), enable "Restrict to specific days" and toggle Mon–Fri. The result is */30 9-16 * * 1-5.
When both fields are non-* most implementations use OR — the job runs when either condition matches. The Daily mode uses only the day-of-week field (* in day-of-month), which avoids this ambiguity.
It matches hours 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 — i.e., 9:00 AM through 4:59 PM. A job at */30 9-16 * * * fires at :00 and :30 of each of those hours, including 16:00 and 16:30.
