CSV Column Remover — Remove & Delete Columns from CSV

Upload any CSV file, select which columns to remove, preview the result, and download a clean file. Works with Excel exports, database dumps, and any comma-separated file. No data leaves your browser.

Free, no sign-up — one of the SaaSQuickStart Data & Analytics tools.

How it works

Your CSV is read directly by your browser using the FileReader API. The parser handles quoted fields, commas inside values, and Windows-style line endings. Uncheck the columns you want to remove, then download the result — the file is rebuilt from scratch with only the checked columns, preserving all row data and original quoting style.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data safe?

Completely. Your file never leaves your device. All parsing and filtering happens in JavaScript inside your browser tab.

What is the maximum file size?

There is no hard limit — it depends on your browser's available memory. In practice, files up to several hundred MB work fine in modern browsers.

Does it support UTF-8 characters and international data?

Yes. The FileReader API reads the file as UTF-8 by default, so accented characters, CJK, and emoji in your data are preserved correctly.

What about CSV files with semicolons instead of commas?

This tool currently parses comma-delimited files. For semicolon-delimited files, open the file in a text editor, replace all semicolons with commas, then upload.
